Candidates for Belmont mayor and city council made their pitches to voters at a Meet & Greet hosted by Belmont Rotary Club at TechWorks Gaston on Sept. 28, 2023.

More than 60 members, guests and prospective members gathered for an evening of fellowship at the beautiful Camelot Meadows event venue in Belmont.

Fellowship, food and fun abound when members of Belmont Rotary Club gather for any occasion and especially during the holidays. Rotarian Beth and David Hollars hosted the 2022 Christmas social, featuring a rousing game of Dirty Santa and a collection of donated items for local senior citizens. Then a "Twerking Santa" and home pregnancy test stole the show.

One of the world’s most widely quoted statements of business ethics is The Four-Way Test, which was created in 1932 by Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor when he was asked to lead a company facing bankruptcy. This test for employees to follow in their business and professional lives became the guide for all relations with dealers and customers, and the survival of the company is credited to this philosophy. Adopted by Rotary in 1943, The Four-Way Test has been translated into more than 100 languages.
